A flight of Heinkel He111's proceeding up the Thames estuary towards London, late summer 1940, engaged by a couple of Spitfires while their comrades fight off the fighter escort high above.

Another one based on the work of a great digital aviation artist, Gareth Hector's 'Eye of the Hurricane'.

The He111 model (Available at Renderosity) was radically re-textured, and I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out. The clouds were a bitch to integrate into the image and took 3 attempts, but I think the result is just about ok. Had to pay for the background image, which I changed quite a bit, taking out modern structures and roads, extending the fields. I also had to extend the plate by over a third to the left, paint in new clouds, adjust colour and haze. Overall pretty pleased with the final result of this one.
