Inspired by the fantastic art of Marek Okon and the novels of Richard Morgan...no direct reference to either, just kinda pushed me in this direction.

Various elements rendered out in Cinema4D, composited in Photoshop, then a lot of painting.

Very nice, was the explosion rendered at all or just all done in photoshop and if possible did you learn that technique anywhere I can look cuz that explosion is perfect'~!!

Thanks...the explosion was done in Photoshop and was started with a photograph I found on the web. I had to manipulate it quite a bit and there was a lot of painting involved. There's a tutorial in Imaginefx magazine (Issue 30 I think) that got me started, but that doesn't involve the use of photographic elements.

Also, that industrial scene in the background is really cool. I love how dilapidated that building is.

Cheers...I should point out that the building is part of The Walled City by Stonemason, available at Daz. I moved it around a little and painted some extra grime and such onto it, but for the most part what you see is what you get. Stonemason's models are exceptional and I highly recommend them.

Love that explosion! I also like the fact that you spent time on the troopers, giving them different poses. Great work in Photoshop as well. Overall, an excellent picture.
